2010 In-House Lacrosse Program
Boys and Girls Grades 1-4
After a successful first year of offering in-house lacrosse, this year we will be working with the Williamstown Youth Center again to offer the following new girls and boys programs. The emphasis on the house league is on FUN and LEARNING HOW TO PLAY LACROSSE!!
The in-house program is designed to introduce players to the sport of lacrosse in a safe and fun environment. Players will be using "soft lacrosse sticks and balls" which are gender neutral sticks used in school and recreation programs across the country. The sticks are an ideal way for kids to learn the sport - the sticks are designed to be easier to catch, throw and cradle. The practice sessions will allow particpants an opportunity to sharpen their stick work and other fundamentals. The in-house team will also be introduced to the rules of lacrosse as well as get a lot of playing time in half field drills and scrimmages without the travel.
The in-house program is open to boys and girls in grades 1-4. Practices will take place at the Williamstown Elementary School fields and will be a low-key "developmental" experience with less time commitment than our travel programs. There will be 2 sessions per week open to all girls and boys in the 1st-4th. We will spend lots of time on basic skills and play small-sided games at each practice.
If you would like to register for the in-house lacrosse program please visit the Youth Centers website at: Youth Center
